E10 gas caused tank debris to clog up the anti siphon valve mounted at the pickup on a belly tank. I wound up removing the valve. the boat is a center console with a sx250. do i need to replace or can i get away without.

thanks,

Re: Anti siphon valve

I would leave it out, myself....havn't ever been asked by a patrol if it's there....you will have to pump your fuel bulb up at beginning of day though...

This valve is a backup for the one in the bulb. Not really necessary and has been eliminated many times in the past.

Re: Anti siphon valve

It`s necessary and mandatory according to ABYC. You will wish it was there if your fuel line is ever severed, or if you have to pay the hefty fine for not having it...
