Holiday visit with family in Tallahassee, fl., too cold to fish, went to the local Tallahassee Antique Car museum, found they have over 200 mint condition/restored antique outboard motors, Watermans, Evinrudes, Mercurys, Johnsons, many brands I've never seen or heard off, a really great thing for any of you guys who love old motors and ever get down this way! I had to rip myself away from all those old motors! Just wanted to let you guys know about this! Happy New Year!

I'll put that on my agenda of places to go.

If y'all are in NY, go to the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton, NY. Its the largest collecton of antique motors in the world, plus there are hundreds of boats as well.

You can even get a ride in one out in the St. Lawrence River!

Although the Antique Boat Museum doesn't have quite the largest collection of old outboards in the world (I know of several private collections with more) theirs is quite extensive and has some truly unique pieces...

Yep, it's right on Interstate I-10 near Tallahassee, says Antique Car Museum but there's lots of other stuff there that the guy collects, but man those outboards are pretty! I noticed a lot of the older motors are made of of mostly brass, must have been before aluminum. The motor leg, lower unit gear box, prop, everything beautiful shiny brass! The museum is owned by some rich real estate developer from Tallahassee. Hope you can get by there if you're ever in Florida.
