any advice??? electrical...

i have a 1984 bayliner cierra. running lights work some times and at the end of last year a friend rigged it up to work. i would like to trace the wires and find the real problem or even install new lines. my bilge pump in the floor of the cabin does not work either. can someone post a diagram or point me in the right direction. i keep looking for the wires up in the foxial with no luck... thanks

Hi j.r. I had the same electrical problems with an 85 Bayliner Capri, the rats nest of cobbled up wires and corroded connections were beyond repair, so I rewired the boat. I have the original owners manual which includes wiring diagrams for these 1985 models, 1400 Capri & 1410 Trophy, 1600 & 1900 Capri, 1600 Cobra, 1710 Trophy, 1910 & 2110 Trophy, all stern drive models, 1650-2150. There can't be many differences from an 84 Cierra, if you want copies of any or all pages I can e-mail them to you in PDF format. Ken
