Any Charter Captains here?

Looking to talk over some idea's I have about a charter buisness. I have the time to get a limited, but most likely would stick to the 6 pack.

Found a nice boat that fits what I am wanting to do, checking her out and about to crack the 401k for the funds.

I started out as a private captain working for a very knowledgeable owner who taught me more than school ever did. I spent 8 years at sea before attempting chartering. Difficult finding a sober mate Good luck...Capt MIke

I am looking at more of a small river charter (dinner cruise) type operation. I have 6 years experaince in the GoM as well as 5 years experaince from the Marines operating from rivers, oceans to swamps.

Not saying I am a great captain, but I can get by. I have been lucky to experaince a lot of things as well as thurst for info.

As far as a mate..this would be a small family operation to start. We are looking at using larger pre-WWII craft for their prominance and beauty.

Thanks man. I married a social butterfly and I love a good story telling and adventure. We feel that while it is a niche buisness that we could do fine. Talking to the broker today on a Weaver for the buisness.
