As the title says. Is there any difference between the two model year 9.5's? I have quick scanned the web and cant find a service manual specifically for the 1967 9.5hp model (found several that include numerous models but none specifically for the 67 9.5). I have no problem locating the 1968 model year 9.5 service manual.

Just picked this baby up yesterday and even though it starts and runs like a charm I figure I had better service it just for piece of mind.

I must say I was impressed how well this 42 year old outboard started and ran.

Sounds like you got a good one. There may be very subtle differences between the two but a service manual will serve you well even if it is a 68. I would be more careful if it were a parts manual than a service manual. I would not worry which service manual you get even right up to 73 would work just fine. Rick.

There were major changes between the 1965 and 1966 years, but they stayed pretty much the same from 1966-up till they quit making them. Enjoy your motor.
