take it to a place that welds aluminum, prop shop/tank repair place

ya thats what i thought...thanks... man i miss the island, alberta's lakes are mostly bogs:Di hafta drive 2hours to find a trout..is it ok to trailer the boat with out a deck and transom or without the deck and with the the transom or should i finish all of it and leave the last piece of deck near the back?

You have a significant amount of corossion in that aluminum. You can visit a welder but more important than the leak is building up that area. Someone has painted but there needs to be more substance there.

You can use gluvit and build with a few coats of it inside and out...... maybe a good aluminum fabricator can install a plate (sheet) to improve the thickness.

do you mean gulvit the whole back of the boat???i plan on takin it to a welder..or did you mean put a piece of alum. across the whole back of the boat.:confused::confused:

or should i change out the whole back with a new piece of alu...has anyone done that before...i could'nt find any threads about that....

No I was talking about how thin the bottom of the hull looks. Visit a welder/fabricator no real need to replace the entire piece.

That spot takes a bunck of abuse in shallow water.

On the exterior of the transom you can apply the gluvit and on the bottom too when you are finished repairing the holes
