Any known issues with 2002 90hp 4 stroke

Looking at possibly purchasing a mercury outboard that has 400 hours but also has been sitting for many years. I?ve been told they had exhaust corrosion issues. Can someone elaborate on this? Any other issues I should be concerned with. I just want a used but reliable motor to take my kids fishing with. Mounting on a 20? aluminum river boat. Thank you

When ever you buy an out board that has been sitting for many years/long time there's a long list of things you need to do.
PM me if you want the long list, I don't want to waste the time if you don't want it.

Yes Sir, I would appreciate your time to send me the list. I had a ton of problems with the last outboard and missed most of last season. I don?t want to fall into another problem motor. Thank you for your response.

I can be bothered writing it down, because I did for one man already and he thanked me, some people don't care what I have to say. about.
If I can learn something and maybe help somebody , Im not trying to convey bad attitude, its just time management.
