Hey RADAR750,<br />where do you work? I used to work with Joe Davis out at old Coast approach. then moved down to SOCAL approach. i left in 98. we were working about 7100 ops a day back then.<br />I am at Abilene, Tx now. About three years from retirement.

Your going to love the full flaps stall at 3500 feet. Probably about your 6th hour. You are basically practicing a stall at high altitude. I forgot the torque effect and had my foot still on the rudder and when we hit stall speed the plane tipped on its wing and dropped like a rock. I did the only thing I could . Put my hands on the roof of the plane and screamed. Thank god the instructor knew what to do. We lost about 1500 feet before he corrected our fall. Flying is fun but there is some scary stuff you have to learn

Been a private pilot lic holder since 1972.<br />Logged time on, C152 Aerobat, C172 Skyhawk, PA28- 140,160,180,200R,235. PA32-260.+<br />Boeing B747 Simulator. Absolutely real.<br />Helicopters, Enstrom Shark. Rob R22.<br /><br />I haven't logged any time for 7 or 8 years but I keep my medical current just in case.<br /><br />Flying is the only way to fly.<br /><br />Peter

I'm a Air Force brat, I loved to visit the flight line as a kid and watch the planes take off.<br />I wanted to be a pilot as a kid but 20/200 vision kept me from the Air Force.<br />I have a kazillion hours on computer flight simulators, mostly the Microsoft Sims, from FS-95 to the Current Flight Sim 2004. I flew with my former father in law in his Cherokee 180, he would let me do it all except land, that was a blast.<br />I always wanted to get my private license, maybe when I retire in 15 years.

does anyone here fly out of fitchburg? if not where do u fly out of and do u like it? what is the most fun thing to do when you are lerning to fly?<br /> :confused:

Starting to take lessons soon.<br /><br />Recently I have been up in my neighbors Boeing Stearman and Piper Cub.<br /><br />Quick question! I knew you could take lessons at any age, but my book says you have to be 14 to make your lessons hours count?
