Any opinions on Hyundai's 2.7 litre Tiburon GT

I mean ,besides the fact that it's an import. <br /><br />Mama's in the market for a new little pocket rocket.Seen a couple of the GT models at a local dealer after closing time and was impressed at least with the external appearance and sticker I think.She would be wanting the 4 speed automatic model.Anyone have any first hand experience with the performance or any reliability issues? I appreciate any and all input.

My brother in law has one. It has been good to him. He had some trouble with the spark plug wires the way they are designed, but it was a simple fix, and I think the transmission gave him trouble before 100,000 miles. But it was used and no telling how it was treated before him. Sports cars are usually beat around a little more.<br />His biggest problem is finding a dealer to fix it.

Make sure you follow the recomended fluid changes and use a good quality lubricant everywhere. Use synthetics after break in everywhere. They are cheap for a reason and need all the help they can get. Taken care of they will last a long time.
