I am trying to troubleshoot my stock built in depth finder. I am getting a "--" reading on the depth finder. I looked into the issue and found that the Maxum uses a 200khz Transducer w/ a RCA connector. I found one on ebay plugged it in, hung it over the side and nothing. If anyone has a similar transducer could we meet up to help me try to figure out the problem. I don't know if the new transducer is broken or if it is my display or what.

I own a 2000 1900 SC Maxum w/ the depth finder toggle switch.

Thanks,

In the manual,
2.1 general
1) whenever power is on, the dept sounder is active and water dept is continuously displayed
2) If the water dept exceeds the maximum dept or is less that 3 feet deep, this display will indicate "--"

send me your contact and I can email you the pdf file. I can't resize it any smaller to attach on this thread

It always shows "--" on the depth finder. Even if I know the water is 70ft =\.

I would love to have someone else with the same/similar setup and plug the transducer into their boat to see if it works. It uses a standard RCA cable
