I'm not a doctor but I did have to talk to my teenager tonight. So that probably qualifies me to deal with most mental issues. So lay down and relax.

Having a spare is not a bad thing. In fact it is very prudent. Just think when the families happiness and well being rests on getting to the lake and the boat is broke. BOOM, get the other one your a hero and a wonderful dad.

Or, as the Bayliner reputation may suggest, having two boats in various states of repair will reinforce your family's concerns about your decision making abilities and general mental health.

I see so many Bayliners for Sale on CL so they must be excellent boats.

So why all the Bayliner bashing going on.

A used Bayliner is as good as it's previous owner(s). They are entry level boats and, in my opinion, a very good value. Thus they are very common. A lot of the bad reputation Bayliners have is due to new clueless owners new to boating not properly maintaining them. However, to be fair, they did build fairly cheapie boats in the 80's and early 90's and used some questionable powerplants (Force, L-drive, etc).

For the looks I like Bayliner but your guys comments have steered me away.

Thanks.

I'd love a 'good' used bayliner pocket cruiser right about now. Congrats, hope she's been well taken care of...so you don't need to spend a lot of time making repairs.

Good morning! Dr. Thompson here...first of all I take PayPal, major credit cards and cash is always good...

Now then, about your problem. Boatitus; more specifically Bayliner Boatitus.
It is fairly common hereabouts, and not really something to be too concerned about. And having a pair of Bayliners is certainly not unheard of. It may be too early to start you on a program, however posting some pictures of your Bayliners and expressing a firm belief in them is a start...

Now, repeat after me...I, JZAmetti, will solicit the opinions of the good folks of the Iboats forums before I acquire my THIRD Bayliner. I will abide by the forums decision, not my misplaced judgement!

Good luck, and enjoy your Bayliner...get some pictures up here so we can see what ya got...

Congrats on the boat. If memory serves, you had been talking about upgrading for a while. Give us the details.
