I have a 1990 BRXL 19' with a mercruiser and I'm having problems getting the shift cable set properly. I've replaced it but I'm not sure it's with the right one.

No problems with mine....yet. Although I have the famous OMC Cobra. They are supposed to have problems.
I wish mine came with a Merc.

Im having the same problem I have to go beyond center to get the motor to start. At dead center I'm still in gear untill I slightly back it off then it goes into true neutral straight up. Also shift hard like rpms are to high. I have the exact same boat as u but mines a 93 with the 4.3liter HO motor
