Anybody have experience with Lumber Liquidators?

I'm getting closer to actually replacing my wood floors and was wondering if anybody has experience with Lumber Liquidators. I hear their customer service is terrible but I'm more worried about quality of the brands they carry. As an alternative anybody have recommendations on national brands that offer exotic solid or engineered hardwood?

I bought Bellawood 3/4" solid wood Brazilian Cherry from them 6 years ago for my Kitchen and love it. Has held up very well. I found their customer service was great. Probably varies with location.'

I put in Garrison II Brazilian cherry engineered floor. I liked it better than most because of the variation of the colors. I had to use engineered because I was putting it on concrete.

I have put two floors in that I purchased from them, one in my kitchen and one in my master bath, have not had a problem with either of them.

As far as the customer service complaints, most of the time, I have found the problem was not the customer service, but the customer.

I would not hesitate to purchase from them again.

I got my pre finished Brazillian Oak flooring from Peak Builder's Auction for about 10 cents a linear foot. If any of them are near you, I would suggest a look. When building my house I was able to pick up a lot of my flooring, windows, siding, doors, faucets, hardware, flashing, etc. from them. Saved me over $15,000 from the local lumber store's quoted price.

Did a light-colored bamboo flooring in the LR and hallway, gotten from Lumber Liquidators. Been 5 years and it's held up OK (except where the rolling office/computer chair is).

I looked at Lumber Liquidators when I did my Brazilian Cherry floor. They didn't have anything like the floor I got. A friend of mine did a bamboo floor years ago from there back when bamboo was more popular and it came out nice.

Products are great, but the sales folks and call centers were suspect, they miss-led us on many many occasions. Wasted a bunch of our time, but we learned, and the products were as good as any other place, just a matter of price that we chose to buy from them. Dont gp there expecting to learn, I would know what you want, then call them for the best price, looking for a deal.
