So, I'm sorta being lazy, but more truthfully is I haven't had the time to set mine up to see if I'm going to like it or not, so I'm asking you. Do you have the big, back bimini that zips into the cockpit bimini top and do you like it? Or, do you have it, installed it, and then quickly removed it because you hate it?
I went to purchase a bimini from a super nice guy on Craigslist and I came home with a package deal that included BOTh biminis, the enclosure for the front top, two extra rear jump seats and a full set of driver/passenger seat pads, PLUS, extra cabin cushions (really just the center one, but still). His boat was gone, but he still had all this stuff and made me a great deal. Anyway, my boat was already set-up for the smaller, front bimini so I popped it on in seconds, but I need to actually mount the rear, bigger one and between t-storms and work, there just hasn't been time. I'm hoping someone here has the set-up, or has at least tried the set-up and could provide pics of how it looks or at least their personal likes/dislikes about it. I'm only concerned about does it get in the way when it's "deployed" so-to-speak. And, did you install it with the support poles near the driver's seat or toward the stern?
Normally it's just the wife and I, so the front bimini is perfect, but on occasion there will be extras (like in 2 weeks when the in-laws come for the week....gulp) so I'm thinking it would be good for passengers to get out of the sun for a bit. I've figured out that I can't use the enclosure and the rear bimini at the same time, but I suppose that only makes sense.
Even if you don't have the top, but have opinions about it, they're more than welcome here so thanks!
