well its a chevolet bolt pattern on the engine side. looks like a 71 or 72 series velvet drive or a jack shaft adapter pattern on the drive side. its set up for bottom mounted starter. would have to start looking at transmission mount flange specs to get much closer

Thanks rodbolt,.....
What I'm looking to Know is if there's any Commonallity with the different transmissions,+ bearing adapters....????

Like when I'm dealing with class 8 Trucks,+ Heavy Equipment, there's a #1 bellhousing pattern,+ a #2 bellhousing pattern.........
With this Info, you can install a Cat. motor in a Mack,... or Cummins in Whatever you'd like,...Etc....

I need to know if a Merc. bearing adapter would be the same pattern as a Hirth or Velvet drive, or whatever..??....

Thanks........

Like Rodbolt said, looks like the #1 pattern for either a Velvet drive or Paragon. But the studs are too short for either and the paint pattern is different from either transmission. Back in the seventies, Dana built a bellhousing for the GM engines that used an adapter plate that could be replaced to fit different applications. I've run across several of them in the past thirty something years and usually used to adapt Mercruiser engines to their drives. This looks like one of those bellhousings without the adapter plate.
