Nah, I just took on a Craig's List project. If not, well . . . 6000 hp is pretty enticing.

It would be worth it in scrap metal lol, could you picture how much that would bring in weight @ $7.50 per 100 lbs.

Reminds me of a Cruise ship that was for or still may be for sale on another boating website, it was only going for $10,000,000 if I remember right :D. I'll half to see if I have the picture of it still.

Where on earth can you scrap steel for $7.50 a pound??
Round here, it is like 5 bucks per 100 pounds.

Hmmm .... living space for 253 PLUS CREW ... could sell the house and move to the boat - but how could I get it to the Lake? And once there, how could I get it turned around? Could be difficult to move ... and no marina sells diesel on the Lake, so I would have to carry it in in 5 gallon cans ... how many 5 gallon cans would it take to fill 'er up?

And what about a repower? 6,000 HP doesn't seem like enough to get her on plane for water skiing?

Guess I really have to rethink this one ... :D

Easy.... when you use it for skiing you point the bow down hill and let gravity assist you...... be sure to keep your ski tips up and straight..... :D

Bring it to Alabama, here locally they were giving $7.50 per hundred or I'm sure there are scrap yards that pay just as much in other states or maybe even in other countries. I like dealing with scrap metal, I wished I had a stock pile of it to haul off when I needed money. But I haven't been able to collect anymore because I was shut down through are local trader who thought I was a business, and I'm not a business of any shape, form, or fashion. At one time I was looking into these government auctions where they sell any and everything, mostly military equipment or anything that was on a military base. Anyhow they sell piles of scrap metal, rolls of copper wire and piles of brass spent shells, by the thousands of pounds.

What I liked you all might of seen on TV, where a group of guys would go and retrieve ships that were ran ashore (some may have been stranded for years) and they would go dig them out and tow them back to where ever they were told they needed to tow them to. But it also can be a very dangerous job. It's amazing to watch when they finally get the ship afloat.

Buy it , remodel it and use it for an off shore gambling ship. If you stayed in international waters no taxes. Just run a farry out to the ship. Throw the profits in a Swiss account and keep a small account in the US so you can pull in for fuel and repairs. You could set up gambling cruses. Every thing you win in international waters you get to keep. I smell money, just would never be able to afford to do it. Don't think you could get a business loan for that. Any body got mob connections?.....ANIMAL :D
