Anybody over here ever build with Seaboard or Starboard?

I have a post over in the General area and wondered if any of you boat restorers / builders have ever used Seaboard or Starboard to build an extended swim platform or anything else?

That material has virtually no structural strength. You would need a piece 3/4" thick with braces just about 8" to fulfill your mission. The weight would kill you. It expands and contracts so much that would need to build a 'floating' securing system which would also be a pita. Don't get me wrong, it is amazing stuff - just not for that purpose.

I've heard of some companies that will make small swim platforms out of King Starboard but I never saw any. I made a new switch panel out of starboard recently. My friend had two small storage boxes made out of it too. A large swim platform I'd be skeptical. A small one with a step up ladder, maybe.
