Well, the windshield is what is known as a "skiff windshield."

The boat looks like the brand that used "egg crate" stringers made of fiberglass. They had an ad where they would drop it into the water from underneath a helicopter at about 100 feet up to show how strong their construction was.

But for the life of me, I can't remember the brand name.

Sounds like a well-built boat :D

I like the flat windshield, it would be easy to replace.

It looks like a tag of some type on the side of the boat near the back corner.

In Texas, the TP&W are quite helpful if you provide the TX registration number. I call your state agency first just to see if the guy's uncle is the registered owner. In TX you can title and register a boat with a bill of sale. If the boat is not registered in TX you need an affadavit of fact from the owner stating why the boat has not been titled. It is pretty painless IF the HIN is on the boat.

I just bought a boat that I went to KY to pick up. No title for boats in KY, only for trailer. All I needed to register the boat in my state of CO, was a bill of sale. But even requiring only that, they needed the hull number. You are gonna have to have something to register it.

Your boat hull shares the same as a 'Winner Cobra'

The windscreen has been replaced at some stage

The aluminium rubbing strake would normally follow the line of the hull not the
top side

it looks at some point this has been moved.

It is possible that your boat was manufactured under the thompson mark

all possibly after winner went bust in the 1980 under another name

however the quadralift hull is certianly winner

hope that help
