I have a outbord motor that all I can tell on it is that it is an commando outboard. Can't make out seriel number or anything else.

Tecumseh powerhead, but there's not a lot of information on these. Early 1960s, so they'll be a lot like the other Tecumseh-powered outboards, I'm sure, from places like Sears and Eska.

Look on the powerhead and see if you can find an identifying number for the engine. If it hasn't been messed with, there will be a metal tag on one of the headbolts or elsewhere.

If you can post a photo of your engine, that might help, too.

Started out in the 1940's as a Milburn Cub, also called Continental, Husky. Even was marketed as a build-it-youself kit. The Techunseh powerhead came sometime in the 1960's. There is a short article on them in Peter Hunn's "The Old Outboard Book".

JCF350 That item on ebay looks like mine.


UPDATE: I found out that it is a COMMANDO 750 and that the flywheel has tecumseh number on it. no other ID tags or stampes on it. only thing else I can add is that the spark plug is a mega-fire # se14jc.
