Anyone drill the ventilation holes in a Solas Rubex prop?

Just got a pair of Rubex props for my 90 hp Johnson. Was wondering if there is any reason that the Rubex would not respond to drilling the ventilation holes like the Hustler prop did on my 40 hp.

Thats a question for Ken or Dhadley....I really think it works best in two strokes better than 4...But i really dont think your going to need to worry about hole shot with your combo...

Some guys swear by it...Ive played with it on a I/O...Just a waiste of time on my heavy old barge...Motor height is critical however...something that can really be tinkard with and make a difference

Hole size is big issue then plugs..to much messin around for myself..I hate to gamble on spent money and loss of return

Well, I'm getting closer to mounting the Johnson. UPS dropped off the Solas props this evening, and I was just wondering about the ventilating.

Have been reading as much as I can find on setting motor height. Finally decided to go with the ventilation plate being 1" above the bottom of the hull. Hope those websites are right with their formulas for determining proper motor height!!!
