Anyone else have a boat like this?

I have owned this boat for about 10 years and have never seen another one like it. It's a 1975 Sun Barge built by Solar Industries of Indiana. It's a great 22ft deck boat that I completely rebuilt last winter and put a new 4-stroke 115 motor on it. It is curious that I haven't came across another one and would love to find out if there are any others out there or did they only build one of themhttp://forums.iboats.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Actually, I have seen one of those. My father was shopping for a pontoon boat about 4 years ago and came across an ad in the local paper for a "party barge". He and I drove out to look at it and what we found was identical to the one in your picture. However, the one we looked at wasn't in as good of shape as yours.

The seller stated that he was the original owner. According to him, he purchased the boat from a dealer in Illinois in late 1974.

Thanks for the compliments guys. It took a lot of work to get her in shape but is well worth it. I made a trip down the Ohio River and up the Cumberland River from Louisville to Nashville in it this summer and it did great, and only used 2.2 gallons of fuel per hour at avg speed of 25mph. It'll go a lot faster but who is in a hurry on those beautiful rivers.
