I was wondering if anyone has ever used this product on their boat? I have used it in the construction industry and found it to be exceptional! It bonds to most any substrate. I saw a demo at my local roofing supplier where they had wood, brick glass, fiberglass, plastic and metal all bonded with this stuff....They went as far as to bond brick to metal, fiberglass to wood, brick to wood etc. You cant break the bond! The substrate will rip before the bonding surface. I wonder how it would stick a deck down or seal up screw holes.

They also have a brushable form.....deck sealer? Just thinking aloud ;)

Ayuh,... To expand abit,...
I bought a quart of the brushable, 'n some 1/4" acid brushes,...
Then dabbed it on any, 'n all suspect top-deck fittings, on my houseboat,...
Actual, ALL the top-deck fittings,...
It drys clear, with a slightly rubbery texture,...
Some of the worst rail fitting, I recoated a year after the 1st time with no ill effects...
Keeps well in a sealed can too....

Sorta reminds me of the Dip-it toolhandle dip stuff from the hardware store....
Only Clear....

No more cabin leaks either....;)

As a sealant good but, I would not use it as a glue ;) If the word get's out that we are using it for Marine then it will be added to the labeling and the price will triple!! :)

I used PL 4000 , its less fudgy, more sticky than the 5000.
You should never use it on boats ...because its only $3 a cartridge. :)
Its....for the children.
