Old motor. I'm sure it has an impellar. The reason you are having problems with info IS Spelling. It is a Kiekhaefer. NOT kiekhaeter. need serial Number also. Than Go To.

thanks for the heads up on my miss print. The serial number is 425761 and it appears to be a 51. I have been to the oldmercs site but cannot find any repair manuals. I was hoping somone owns or has worked on this paticular motor.
Your gonna have a hard time finding that manual. You might try E-bay. Its actually not a difficult motor to learn. Just take your time and write things down when you work on it.
It DOES have a waterpump. It is located at the seam between the exhaust housing and the gearfoot. A manual is a must - oldmercs.com has them, referred to as the 1965 and prior manual. It covers all pre 1965 Mercs... You can find them on eBay from time to time, too for cheaper...
