anyone had a windshield custom made

Wondering what the approx cost is anf where i can have it done. Have a 58' texas maid aluminum runabout with a hazy plexyglass wraparound windshield. Its one piece. I have tried to polish it but its crazed. Needs replaced.

I've had two windshields custom made for center console boats. They, I assume, were much smaller than yours. Each of mine were around $200,00 from a local plastics fabricator.

In each case, I had made a template out of heavy cardboard plus a detailed drawing.

Since you have the old windshield it shoud be much easier.

Yes and it is going to be spendy, the last one I had done was for a 1962 Seaswirl several years ago and I paid over $600 to have it made, often times you can find a good windshield that is off a similar boat that will fit on yours. Lots of us take old boats apart if they are beyond repair or will cost to much to repair. I do it quite often.
