Not sure how many of these boats are left out there, but I want to hear from people that have them. I have one and I've got another thread going in the prop section about excessive slip.. I have a single 260 horse Chevy 350, Alpha 1, and a 16x16 3 blade aluminum prop. My slip calculates out to 30+%. I'm considering a prop swap, but I don't want to take random shots in the dark, that gets expensive in a hurry. So, if you've got one of these boats, what prop are you running, what's your speed and RPM at WOT, what speed to you cruise at, and what's your fuel economy?

in 1996 mine had a Mercruiser 454 with the Bravo III along with a new transom. I owned it for only a few years after it was repowerd , did not own it with the original 350/260hp .
really liked the boat- smooth riding in the chop. WOT at 4400rpm got me to 43mph .

forget trying to get low slip numbers on a heavy boat with a single smallblock

what rpm and mph are you getting now? the 16x16 elephant ear is likely a really good prop for that boat and that's what I ran on a 26' carver flybridge cruiser with a 260 before the motor died and I swapped to a 6 cyl

another choice might be a 15 pitch 4 blade..... we need your numbers and also how does the boat do on holeshot?
