There is me and the wife, the kid, 1 full timer, 4 casual adults, and 4-9 teenage school kids (weekend) workers here at the moment.
I am sick to death of people rocking up to work with the flu, so I say to them, every year, get the vaccine....I will book you in to my doctor and pay for it.
Do you think anyone takes me up on the offer.....1 bloke only....and he said not to worry, he does it himself anyway.
I have to have a full food safety program (HACCP) under my quality assurance, and now the auditors are starting to get tough on me, and we have had to add a 'critical point' concerning personal hygiene regarding coughing, nostrel mucus etc.
(I think it is good, as now I can use it as an excuse to force my views)
So I have laid the law down....you get as much as a sniffle, tell me immediately as i don't want you at work and no pay till you are 100% better.
And these 2 blxxdy women...chuckle chuckle...excuse excuse....and you will hear them complain from your place when it happens.
I can't do much with the kids...explained things to them....they all listen intently...told them to tell their parents my rules and it is up to their parents to decide.
The problem with flu, it ravages work places, seems a never ending problem for months, slows production...and the wife and I have to pick up the slack.
I just think people should be more responsible and considerate.
