Anyone have experience with Tower Speakers???

Good morning Folks,

I found a used pair of Bazooka Tower Speakers that could be had for $100 or so.

Does anyone know if the speakers can be replaced within the canister? I am kind of loyal to Kicker and would prefer to throw some Kicker 6.5's in there.

I'd be shocked if they weren't easily replaceable. They look to be top mounted, so pop those screws off and the speaker will fall out. I don't have the link handy, but a year or so ago I built a stereo system for a golf cart... I did come across empty wake tower cans for a little less than that, so if you are going to replace the speakers anyway...

Should be able too but i cannt be 100% sure.
Im only 90% sure you can. From the looks of the speaker grill. It is removable with 4 screws

Will this kind of throws a wrench in things... Appears to be closer to a 8" speaker?

If you just want empty cans then check out DIYWake. They have some in the $130 a pair range for just empty cans
