Glad you managed to get the boat home.<br /><br />From what I have heard, the L-drive motors don't have a very good reputation.<br /><br />I know of one guy that removed his, rebuilt the transom, and mounted a conventional outboard.

Run away....Fast! Just do a search on this forum for L-DRIVES , and there are no pros just cons.

Run like the wind!! a poor design with a <br /> a poor and dwindling parts supply.Wont adapt to a better I/O system. If its a bayliner the boat may be a question mark as well.

PEDRO: JUST LAST YEAR I SOLD MY MAXIUM 1994 17 1/2 FT WITH A 1994 120 HP FORCE IN ALL THE YEARS I HAD THIS BOAT I REALLY NEVER HAD ANY BIG PROBLEMS WITH THE ENGINE EXCEPT FOR 3 STATORS @ 2 SWITCHBOXES BUT I ALL WAYS STAYED ON TOP OF IT .
