Looking to go for the first time would be cool to meet someone who is planning to go there this summer and is a experience powell traveller or just someone maybe to hook up with to meet their or travel. Looking to go maybe the second week of July

Are you planning to stay for the day? It's already 106* here in Vegas and I'm planning on going out on tuesday at Lake Mead for about 6 hours. Starting at 8 am!

Yes it will be warm, but I would not let that stop me. The lake will be full of many other boaters that also are not afraid of hot weather. You will want to be careful that you stay hydrated. When I go to Powell I pack a ton of water, sports drinks, and fresh fruit into my ice chest. Don't bother packing soda or anything alcoholic as those drinks will not properly hydrate you. Usually I need to buy another bag of ice around mid-day to keep my ice chest cold. Have fun! Powell is a small piece of heaven on earth.

This was a unusual hot weekend up there this weekend I will try to squeze in a cool time and be prepared for hot weather.

just got back from moving to powell from mead for the year.
moved the day after mermorial day.

where on powell are you looking to go?

we will be at bull frog now, till dec or jan.

we might be at flaming gorge in the time frame your looking at depending on the temp at powell.

Hows it going?

Well looking to find a week of good weather could be ready to leave as soon as the 22 of this month depending on if my girlfriend can get someone to watch her kids, just the two of us going up. Basically launching out of Waheap and plan on being on the river for at least 4 days just crusing and enjoying the river maybe we can hook up I can give you a exact day soon.

chances are we wont head down lake that time of the year.
when it hot we stay closer to the marina or stay up north
