Anyone heard of this brand? and how does it run?

I was poking through Craigslist searching for a jon boat rig and bumped into an outboard called a "Hidea". Sounded like something out of a greek tragedy.

Anybody know if this brand is any good? What's the take on this one?

Hidea is a new Chinese outboard, all 4 strokes from 2.5HP up to about 30HP I believe, said to look mechanically similar to Yamaha, has very attractive prices, all this is very predictable, but their quality will have to be proven in the marketplace before a real following is likely to occur. There's a big importer/dealer for Hidea in South Florida where you can order one on-line, but I doubt any real dealer/repair network exists yet.

There's no way I'd pay as much for a brand new Chinese motor than I would for a rebuilt Evinrude. Chinese stuff is usually of low quality with no repair parts. Its a high risk purchase.
