Re: Anyone here from Memphis?
Hey! A Memphrikan!
I'm down here in Hernando (EDIT) -but I do work in Memphis.
I haven't been out all year

Sardis is indeed low, over twenty feet below norm last time I checked.) You may still be able to launch at Engineers Point on the South side of the levee. That area was dredged out for the new marina a few years ago. The lower lake doesn't usually get too low but it's small and can get crowded fast.
My stepmother is down at Enid right now, I'll try to get some info from her.
Arkabutla is worse. You can just about walk across it right now.
Tunica may be your best bet (pun). The river is low but the Corps dammed up the cut-off a few years ago to keep it from getting too low.
Our neighbors over in AR are having better luck... their lakes are fine, 'cept for Horseshoe. That lake must have a hole in it or something. They're about to spend a bazillion bucks on a re-lift system to pump water back into it!
No idea about Moon, Flower, Dacus, DeSoto or McKeller but I'd bet they're low too. Been a bad year for us boaters... just don't tell the farmers that!
