Anyone know any good Puget Sound / San Juans destinations?

I'm looking for some good boat trips this summer. I have a 18' TideRunner. Anyone know any good islands or other destinations to visit this summer?

Blake island is always a gr eat starter place - between Port ORchard and Seattle.......beach park, go up for a picnic (Or anchor and spend the day hiking etc).......

Thanks guys, I've been to Blake a few times. Once for a night and a few times just for BBQ and chlling. Your right it is a great starter place only a few miles from the Alki launch.

Lingcod: where is Sucia Matia? or Patos? Do you mean Sucia Island.

I'm going to launch my boat in Laconner this weekend and go out to Hope Island in the Skagit bay and then through Deception pass this weekend. Never been to Hope but it is where my friends family put my friends ashes in the sound after he was killed on a comercial fishing boat. I and others missed the funeral so we are axious to at least go up there and 'pour some liquor' out for our friend. anyway excuse me drifting off topic.

I'm always looking to explore new islands and beaches. So let me know some details on Scia Matia and the Patos Islands and I'll pull up a chart for them.

Anyone ever been to Goat Island? Its only a few minutes from Laconner and it has an WWII naval bunker with gun emplacements on it. pretty cool camp spot. I've only done it with small aluminum boats beached all night. However I do want to try it with my fiberglass boat anchored out and rafting in. There are a bunch of piling etc on the best beach there.

Jones Island has a dock and the whole island is a park.
I am guessing you don't have a dingy.Friday harbor is cool. Roach harbor is soo ritsy I felt out of place in my 27' sail boat just wanted to get fuel and get out. I also liked fihermans cove on lopez.

get the book Gunkholing in the San Juans. It has every little cove rock and bay in the islands with tips and warnings from lifelong islanders. Cant beat it.
