Anyone know what happened to this piston/cylinder??

Just curious, but how would the sleeve be replaced (shrink fit?) and how would the new sleeve be prevented from tuning again?

Fixed a many of them with turned sleeves, just have to pull old sleeve,bore and install larger OD sleeve with locking compound...Merc 2.5 V-6 do the same thing

Well fellas, I'm just happy that I know why this SOB was giving me so many issues. All because the P.O. didnt keep up with thermostat maintenance...........
