Hi
just bought a boat with a 1969 40 hp eninrude on it
need to get a old 9.9
anyone know what the old eveinrude is worth
it runs great
wonder if i could trade the rude for a 9.9?
just a thought......lol

Not sure what you're up to.Do you want to replace the 40 to use the boat on low hp lakes?Define "old" 9.9.

Yes thats what i need to do
most all the lakes around me have that limit
as for the old 9.9..well can't afford a new one...lol
but really as long as it runs good and is dependable
i don't know what these things go for
i am new to this

I am afraid you may find the 9.9 motors are more sought after than the 40s. Should be able to locate a 9.9 for 250-600 depending how old you go and what demand is. Might not get much more that that for the 40.
