Anyone make a custom transom mount?

Looking for ideas on how to make a transom mount for my transom mount trolling motor.

I've seen people just bolt a couple 2 x 4's to the transom and mount the motor on them, but it's ugly!

The universal mount I have is awful.

Any ideas? Pictures are golden......
