I need some help with a wiring question and I was wondering if anyone else in here owns one of these boats that could help me out?

Thanks

Mine is pretty similar, its a 1995, after Brunswich bought out Bluefin.

Boat wiring is all pretty much the same on smaller boats.

What's the problem?

Well, under the dash I have a small hornsiren/ that has two wires coming from it a purple and tanred/ and I am wondering what this siren is for as it is not hooked up to anything. The wires are just dead ended.

Thanks

That is your overheat alarm.
Tells you when the engine gets too hot.

One wire should be hooked up to the "I" terminal on the ignition switch.
The other wire should be connected to the orange or tan wire that runs to the motor temp sensor.

My guess is that someone got creative and disconnected it.

Maybe the sensor is bad, or they rewired the boat when they switched motors.

Isn't the overheat alarm inside the control box. My motor did overheat and the alarm went off and I swear it was inside the control box.

Depends on what control box you have.

Perhaps this is simply a horn. Do you have a horn button on the dash somewhere?
Does it work?

Or maybe it was the overheat alarm for a different motor or controls.
