Pump is losing prime so I am assuming valves are done.
I would like to find repair parts but there is no name or model on it. It is a bilge pump - that much I know - and it's on an '89 Doral Prestancia.
Anyone have any ideas?
For what you would pay in replacement parts for that pump---if you can find them---you could easily switch over to a standard 1100 GPH auto bilge pump with float switch.
Those are old Jabsco diaphragm pumps, not even made anymore. There used to be kits for most (not sure about that model) of their pumps, but even on a good day that pump didn't put out much water (3 gpm new). They used to be quite common, but most have been replaced. I know personally I have replaced at least 25 of them.
What did you replace them with? Diaphragm again or one of the common auto pumps as suggested by Fireman431?
I think I would prefer to do a straight swap out, as the wiring, separate float switch, filter, etc are already in place and I have had nothing but trouble with the auto type that have been used elsewhere on the boat - but I am looking for advice as to the route I should go.
Thanks for your time
