The stainless 19 pitch prop showed up and fits the 1983 Force 85 perfectly. It's not as much blade area as the 17 pitch stainless I took off. It's going to be interesting. We're heading for the lake right now, trying to beat the darkness to see how she does.

hey marty, goodluck with the new prop... let us know how it works out for you... by the way is it cold by you.. its in the low 40s right now dips into the 30s at nite thats some cold boating weather... have fun

Well, I had a feeling I wasn't going to like this 19 pitch stainless prop. It put the WOT at 5400rpm which is perfect but gps only shows 40 mph even. IT's in very nice shape but I didn't like the blade profile when I saw it and I didn't like the way it felt in use. I think I gave up too much hole shot for 2 mph gain and it pulled WOT down 600rpm with 2" more pitch? I'll be keeping my eyes out for a 19 pitch stainless prop that is more like the 17" I have. In the meantime I'll continue to run this 19 pitch stainless prop and get more time with it but I won;t be lettng go of the 17 stainless for now.
