We have a 2002 Avalanche Z71 5.3 with the 4:10s(rated 8100lbs with the 4:10s out of the owners manual) pulling a Supreme V 208 in Alberta,Canada lots of hills and mountains works hard on some hills but for the most part no problems.

Well, it ended up getting settled this weekend. Found what I was looking for. 03 Escalade, 6.0L, AWD... and the Caddy goodies, and Tow Package.

Tow rating I believe on this one is either 8000# or 8100#...but class 3 hitch. Might be looking into a hitch upgrade and a back up camera.
