Just would like to hear what everyone thinks about this epoxy. Also how much epoxy would you need for a 23' regal velocity I'll be doing stringers transom and the floors.

I haven't heard of it but I think a fair number of the guys went to US Composites epoxy as they have a great product and prices to match.

I'm sure some of the guys will pipe up as well on the estimate side as mine was an aluminum where I only had to do the deck, transom, seats, gunwale supports but no stringers, etc. I think I was into about 3 gallons of epoxy and then the hardener on a 18 footer.

My guess is you're into the 5+ gallon pail territory

Is there a specific reason for using Epoxy on your project? Your boat is made from Polyester.

Yeah I know the boat is made from poly. I never done glass work before. Most of the sites I been on say to go with epoxy and 1708 glass. But I might wind up going with poly. I'm not a 100% sure yet

Well, not sure what sites you've been on, but here on iBoats, we usually recommend poly. Epoxy is expensive and way overkill for boats made of Poly. If it was a wood boat then Yep, the epoxy would be the way to go. For what you are doing, Poly is totally acceptable. It does have some drawbacks in that you MUST use fiberglass Mat with it before laying any cloth. It has a terrible odor and is a bit trickier to mix. If you can put up with that, then again, I recommend you use Poly. Based on where you live there are multiple reliable suppliers. Where are you located??

I am actually using the aeromarine Epoxy for my boat already bought the epoxy just needing more time to get back to the boat. Still need to buy the wood for the sole and transom though too.
