I have a 34' Sportfisherman with twin 330 HP turbo deisels. I am also using Surface drives with 21x26 " props. Anyone else using this setup?

Re: Anyone using Diesels

I know a guy on Kaui named Don Moses. He used to build Radons,(very popular warm water hull) and now he builds power cats. He is trying new drive on the cats, I believe it has an inline shaft, but the prop is on the surface. I don't know if this is what you have.
I have worked with diesels, and I think they are the best. I have run v-drive shafts, inline shafts, and inboard diesels with leg drives. I have seen jet drive diesels, and I understand they can be tough in a following sea. What is a surface drive?

Thanks for the link. I read the material on your drive. I didn't get it, yet. I will read on.
I'm sure that's the drive Don was telling me about last year.
I got to meet this character at a Suzuki outboard tech (sales) class on Oahu. He flew in from Kaui, and I traveled from Maui.
Don built the best surfing, 38ft, twin screw, semi-v, plaining hull, I've had the pleasure of driving. I guess that makes him my hero.
Don Moses, Kaui HI., he is a great boat man, and the only person I know using the same drive. Keep us posted!
