not too bad, dad is going to cause an accident, and the long bearded wussy (being polite) needs to go.

It's interesting for sure. I agree that the old man is a bit careless, old school I guess. Not a bad show.

They call it "Gold Fever",It is real, and adictive.Once you find a small nugget or a pan w more than scat, your about hooked!!I met a man who scubadived in a large river in Idaho, finding gold behind boulders in the rapids. He had a look in his eye that reflected his excitement as he told near death tales of rolling rocks and getting caught in the currents of this roaring river. He also showed us nuggets that he had found. It can become an all consuming obsession!

I have been watching. It looks interesting.
If google it there are some real miners who hate that show and say the whole thing is just a TV show and not real at all. It's sort of a SHT for miners.
Apparently the whole series has already run in USA in November and December.

Just started in December. And I do like it the reality shows are more interesting than anyything else on. I think that crying know nothing Dorsey need's to hit the bricks and that old has probably already hurt someone they just aren't showing it. Maybe Dorsey can get a jod with those idiots from S&S logging on Ax Men.

I admire their willingness, but I get impatient with the clashing egomaniacs. I don't see any leadership or teamwork in any of them.

I agree with JB, their teamwork and leadership skills are lacking. The way they rigged some of the machines to work is ridiculous. It is good they have a TV show contract to supply cash flow.

Yea never really thought of that until just now go figure I was have over 17 yrs experience as a supervisor and team leader! but all in all thier uncoordinated efforts to getting the task at hand up and running efficiently is lack luster @ best no game plan and no around the clock minnning? especially with thier limited window you would have thought they had all thier ducks in a row before they even set out on this task instead of building huts and buildings. working in teams would have been the way to go or as a team for that matter.

But is that not the truth, you can have all the manpower, tools and equipment in the world but if you cannot effectivly utilize them up to their fullest potential you might as well stay "HOME".
I kind of wonder about the son, he has a good head on his shoulders to some degree, but he cannot come to terms with settling his dad down and pushing him in the right direction as far as the direction that the project should go, counter productive not having everyones full attention and a serious game plan.

Placer mining as I have been told and expierenced alittle is a crap shoot at best, and the son knows that to find the dry ancient channels will be their best bet, water falls just take placer gold and beat it into flour.
