Still struggling with the power tilt/trim pump, I took a pic so I can see if someone can identify it.

That's the old 'hi-pressure' merc trim pump. Got a couple laying around. Upgrade to the newer type if you have a lot of problems with that one.

You can test the pump by temporarily connect the red harness wire to the blue or green(up/down)

Re: Anyway to identify this Power trim pump?

I am having lots of issues with it. I can get it to trim up, will not trim down, when I tilt it up, it bleeds off right away and also bleeds the trim all the way down.

What was the upgraded PTT pumps? I thought about taking the bottom 2 port manifold off to see if I could replace a leaky o-ring or something since I'm pretty sure that's where the bleed off is coming from (everything around there is covered in oil)

And of course I can't find my manual for the layout of the PTT switch, anyone have a readout/pinout of the harness so I can make sure the switch is for sure good?

Go up to the adults only sticky at the top of this forum, and download the OEM manual for your engine and drive. Has the wiring diagrams and repair information.

Don,

Tried downloading the manuals and the links appear to be broken for me. Do you want to double check and see if they're still active? thanks!
