Sheeeesh, next time I'll just throw the damm thing in the trash.

I think it's time to move on and let this thing die. The mods have a job to do and they do it to the best of their ability. If I broke a rule it wasn't intentional.

Let's get back to dicussing the important tings like light bulbs. :D

Good Point and your right they aren't retailers and I can see how that would hurt you guys. Didn't really think of it that way. This is still my favorite board. And you guys giving answers to questions posters have Is great. Thanks ;)

MLF I like the geerosity of your offer but throw the book away or offer it in the thrift section. :) I love this board just the way it is I don't get emails or PMs all the time like some other boards. Thanks to JB and Mod1 for patroling the board here. To bad the police in most area's don't do the same. :)

I wonder if General Motors has issues like this, If so then no wonder they are in trouble! :D I wish my problems were this trivial.

ZmOz I see that you have a lot of time on this forum which tells me that you like it. I know exactly what you are saying and I agree with you to a point that it was a very good gesture by MLF. What I don't understand is that even after Mod1 and JB clarified the situation and why they made this decision that you are still mad. MLF is not mad and he should be the member that is ticked. I'm sorry that you would take your business elsewhere over something so trivial. I understand your point of giving something away as being a very nice gesture. The funny thing is that it was a manual for a truck and not a boat engine. I don't know, because I haven't checked, if iboats sells truck manuals or not. I'm sure that the retailers that advertise their boat engine manuals here also sell truck manuals. Without these people's support there would be no iboats and I for one would miss it terribly. I got censured by a mod for actually putting the name of a local sporting goods chain in my area that is also slang for a male's body part. I didn't get mad I just explained that this really was the name of it. The mod did not come back and apologize because I don't think he needed to. I have since ordered a product from here just to support them. I would have saved a whole four dollars buying it somewhere else. This site is worth a lot more than four bucks to me. I hope it is for you too.

Why am I still mad? Because both mod 1 and JB tried to say it was an accident, which is OBVIOUSLY NOT the case. And then JB tries to tell me it's no OK to voice my opinion here...we aren't being controlled by the chinese government here. That is not how you treat your customers.

Just for the record, ZmOz, neither Mod 1 or I said it was an accident. We both said it was a judgement call and I said it was very close.

Neither did I say that you can't say your piece, I simply disagreed with you. We both have the right to disagree.

Unfortunately, my responsibility as a moderator prevents me from being as aggressively disagreeable as I might feel.

We get several thousand posts a year here, several thousand a month in the spring. Mod 1 is a volunteer helper to keep this place orderly and civil. Your ire is misplaced.

You said mod1 misread the post, meaning he made a mistake and that was the cause of his actions. As mod1 said, it wasn't a mistake closing it, he knew exactly what the post was about. How did he "misread" it?

No, you didn't, but you said I shouldn't say it here, and I think that's BS.

I used the wrong word. He understood it differently than I did.

I did not say you shouldn't say it here. I said it would be better to contact the management than to stir controversy over something you obviously don't understand.

We would like you to hang around and continue to participate and contribute to the BB.

This topic is closed.
