aq125a why didnt volvo put a choke on the carb? when did production of aq125 end?

Weber didn't come into the picture until years after Volvo stopped manufacturing the 125A and any other of the 4 cyl engines without chokes.

Don, is there an aftermarket replacement carburetor with a choke for the AQ125 with the single barrel solex?
I live in virginia and weather is around 20 to 30 degress now and my boat would not start once it got cold. The stripper season is now when its cold and I can't get to them. hopefully I can find a work around to keep my engine warm enough to start during winter months.
