Hi,

I got some Chris Craft with with AQ200 engine 1974., and I got two question. First, is tilt at that motor for for parkinq etc., or for tilt at the time when the boat is on watter and going on? And, the second question, where I could buy sterter for that engine. It is very old AQ200 with Volvo Penta 50141 starter.

Tnx a lot, Mario

Unless you have the power trim feature, which has hydraulic rams for the tilt/trim, you most likely have the electric tilt. It is NOT for triming while cruising. Its for putting in and taking out and for idle speed though shallow water. It is not good for trailering either. You should have a separate bracket for trailering.

I would look into having your current starter rebuilt.

Welcome to Iboats, BTW.:)

Tnx on answer. Yes, I do not have a hidraulic trim :)
And tnx for welcome.
I want to buy a new (or remanufactured) starter, but the costs of deliver is too much.... starter with posts is more than 300USD.... I did not say that I live in Croatia, Europe.....

This is why I suggested having yours rebuilt. If you must buy a new/remanufactured one than $300 doesn't sound out of line. Marine starters and expensive. I don't know if you can buy off of Ebay or not, but there may be some cheaper ones there.
