AQ205A Outdrive ?

I bought a 1990 Sportcraft Avanza 2050 with a VP AQ205A engine. The outdrive is missing and I was wondering how I can figure out what drive was on it. Will engine serial # give me any info on drive? Here is a pic of transom mount if anyone has any idea as to what drive it is.
I think it's a 290 from looking at pics from doug russell , but I am not sure.

If you have the serial number of the engine, take it to your local Volvo dealer and they can plug the number into their system. If it was registered properly, it will tell you which drive it had.
The 205 only had 2 choices, a single prop and a duo prop. Which do you want? Either will work with the proper gear ratio.

Thanks for the info Don. I kinda figured from searching that it was down to the 290 SP or DP drive. Glad to have a master tech give me some insight.
I'll hit a dealer Monday with the engine # and go from there.
I run at 7200ft elevation 90% of the time so I'm leaning to the SP unit because of the torque needed for the DP drive. What do you think?
