Aquasport Transom Repair?

Hey Guys,

I have a 20Ft Aquasport 200. I noticed a small seperation of the laminate at the top of the transom on the starboard side. When my boat mechanic came by last week he looked at and then proceeded to step on the base of the outboard and jump up and down to see if there was any flexing.. He said there was a little bit of flex and that was why the laminate was showing some fatigue. When he put his weight on the motor and leaned back the front of the boat came right up..

My question is..should there be some flex in the transom? Is this something I should be concerned with at this time given the little flex that exists as well as the transom supported the boat when the test was done?

I certainly do not want to get into transom repair if its not needed but would like to seal any cracks as well as beef it up..

Any suggestion, comments, opinions??? I can take a picture and post it as well if that helps. I'm wondering what the majority do with a slight flex and minor laminate damage...

Thanks!!
