Take the old one to the local alt rebuild shop, if it can't be fixed, he has a replacement that will work;even on a black anchor. they are all the same, except several styles of wiring.

There is a BIG difference in quality ---- IMHO

hint the title reads arco vs sierra ... i know getting an oem alt is not an option .. unless of coarse ac delco .. but i didnt think they sold marine alts anymore ... and i put the sig like that to amuse all you omc haters .... i know its not a desired drive ... do i care ... no... the family and i are having fun anyway in a cheap not so desireable boat ... so what ... my new lexus and my 06 dodge cummins are my pride and joy ... the boat thing is just for laughs .. bring on all the flames you want ... i dont mind it one bit ..
and i promise i wont lose sleep over the omc bashings ..
Just ignore the bashing, they will still help when they can (just think about it, more mercs in the shop than omc) lol
Basically, get a delco; or yours rebuilt local-local equals walking in their door, if it is bad. No shipping and waits.
