I know that some PTT will only fit some engines ie a 50 wont fir a 100 ect
Is this only due to the brackets ??
Are they rated to lift different weights ??
Say you took one from a 125 and fitted it to a 50 would it work quicker as it is lifting a lighter engine ???
Or are they rated all the same ????

The units interchange ONLY if they are identical in appearance.

Thanks Joe it was more ion the lifting power. IE if 2 units were identical One fro example from a V4 85 and the other from a V6 would the V6 move the V4 Quicker or are those V units all the same power ?? Iam not talking about interchanging units. Just the question of do they all have the same power to lift ?

Thru many years, the units were identical from the 3 cylinder model through the V4, V6, and V8. (keeping mind, I retired in 1991) There was no difference in their lifting power or speed thereof. As to the units of today, I strongly suspect they follow suit. If I'm in error, I'm sure another member will jump in here with the proper info.
